As Store Planning Coordinator, you will support retail store projects from initial planning through completion, including new store openings, renovations, relocations, closures, and ongoing maintenance. Reporting to the Store Planning Manager, you will coordinate design and construction activities with internal retail teams, contractors, and other project partners.
The role includes supporting smaller department-store projects as well as contributing to a major flagship store project. You will help manage schedules, budgets, project documentation, site quality, and issue resolution, ensuring that work progresses efficiently and meets the company’s standards. The position is primarily office- and site-based in Tokyo, with limited remote-work flexibility. It is well suited to a project-focused professional who enjoys coordinating multiple stakeholders and contributing to high-quality luxury retail environments.
Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
Approximately three to six years of experience in construction, store planning, project coordination, or a related area.
Experience managing or coordinating project schedules, rollouts, contractors, or site activities.
Experience in luxury retail is welcome but not required.
Native-level Japanese and business-level English.
Strong understanding of Japanese business culture and professional communication practices.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Ability to coordinate effectively with retail teams, designers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects or priorities.
Practical problem-solving skills and the confidence to address issues throughout the project lifecycle.
Willingness to work primarily from the office and project sites in Tokyo.
