ROLE OVERVIEW
The Quality Manager will develop, maintain, and enforce quality assurance programs, policies, and operational standards. This role provides expert technical guidance on industry regulations and internal compliance, directly leading quality engineers, supervisors, and inspectors to drive process control, conduct audits, and ensure zero-defect standards across raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & Development: Provide direction and training for quality engineers, QC supervisors, and inspectors. Set annual goals, manage performance through the Global Performance System, and foster continuous professional growth.
Strategic & Operational Planning: Formulate regional quality strategies, team operating plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical work instructions.
Audit & Quality Control: Lead QA audits, root-cause investigations, and corrective action implementations. Maintain strict oversight and calibration control over product quality measuring equipment.
Process Excellence & Compliance: Drive ISO certification processes, Lean Manufacturing initiatives, and Continuous Improvement (CI) projects across manufacturing operations.
Cross-Functional Project Management: Lead multi-functional programs involving internal engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams, as well as external suppliers and clients.
Financial & Business Alignment: Develop and manage quality department budgets and expenses. Establish Quality OGSM (Objectives, Goals, Strategies, Measures) aligned with global business strategies, alongside regular market benchmarking.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
Experience: 5+ years in a manufacturing/engineering environment with proven supervisory or leadership experience. Strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, and ISO standards.
Technical & Analytical Skills: Strong scientific foundation, advanced problem-solving capabilities, and proficiency with quality data analysis software and enterprise tools.
Soft Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a track record of acting as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders, alongside strong team-building expertise.
