This is a robotics and mobility technology company developing core systems that enable real-time, remote human presence through robots and other mobility solutions. Its vision is to make movement more instant, sustainable and inclusive, opening up access to people, places and experiences in new ways.
The company’s flagship product is a mobile communication AI avatar robot, already deployed in public-facing environments and being expanded to broader settings. The business is focused on combining advanced AI, robotics and human-centred design to improve service delivery for partners and create practical technologies that can scale. The culture values innovation, robustness, collaboration and a strong engineering mindset.
As an AI/ML Engineer within the AI and Robotics team, you will help add new AI-enabled capabilities to the company’s flagship robot and support customer projects that improve service efficiency for business partners. The role has a strong emphasis on speech AI, with work spanning automatic speech recognition, voice activity detection, language detection, emotion detection, speaker diarisation and audio cleaning.
You will implement end-to-end speech processing pipelines, research the latest machine learning advances and produce performant code that can be deployed reliably at scale. Much of the codebase is written in Python, while robot-side integration work requires C++ for deployment on embedded hardware. You will work closely with a dynamic, cross-functional team in a fast-moving environment where experimentation and iteration are part of the day-to-day.
