As HR Generalist, you will serve as a key partner to business units and a connector between local operations and global HR teams. Based in Tokyo, this permanent role is responsible for delivering day-to-day HR support while also contributing to strategic people initiatives such as workforce planning, talent retention, and performance management.
You will manage core HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment and selection, onboarding and offboarding, employment contracts, employee relations, payroll coordination, and compensation and benefits administration. You will also support salary review processes, identify training needs, coordinate learning and development activities, and prepare HR reports and analysis for management and global HQ. In addition, you will help ensure compliance with Japanese labor law and internal policies while promoting a positive, high-performing workplace. Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
5+ years of HR experience preferred
Experience with payroll, onboarding/offboarding, and employment contracts
Knowledge of Japanese labor law and HR best practices
Native-level Japanese and business-level English
Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-cultural collaboration skills
