The Key Account Manager will manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts across Japan, with a focus on both existing customers and new business development. Reporting to the Sales Manager - Japan, this role combines relationship management, commercial planning, and brand representation in a fast-paced B2B environment.
You will work closely with dealers and distributors to understand customer needs, develop tailored proposals, and support execution from order processing through delivery scheduling and cost negotiations. The role also includes business planning, sales performance analysis, pipeline management, and market/competitor research to help drive revenue, profitability, retention, and customer engagement. In addition, you will prepare sales materials, participate in trade shows and events, and support in-store training and product knowledge sessions to strengthen sell-through and customer experience.
Proven experience in sales or business development, ideally in account management within wholesale, supplier, or retail environments.
Demonstrated success driving business growth and building strong customer partnerships.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable analyzing data, managing pipelines, and using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Self-starter with a proactive, commercially minded approach; valid driver’s license required.
