Role Overview:
The Technical Delivery Manager will oversee end-to-end technology delivery, combining strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities with deep hands-on technical expertise in Java-based applications, microservices, and modern integration architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Delivery Management: Lead technology delivery from planning through execution and deployment, ensuring effective governance, risk management, dependency tracking, and timely delivery.
Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and relevant parties to align expectations, communicate progress, and resolve delivery challenges.
Technical Leadership: Apply strong technical knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and modern application architectures to guide technical teams and ensure solution quality.
Architecture & Application Development: Oversee solutions built on microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
Banking Compliance & Security: Ensure technology delivery aligns with banking regulatory requirements, security standards, compliance frameworks, audit controls, authentication mechanisms, and fraud/risk management practices.
Delivery Governance & Quality: Drive Agile/Scrum practices, code reviews, technical ownership, release management, and deployment governance throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Performance & Integration: Support effective application performance and system integration through strong knowledge of Core Java, JVM performance tuning, databases, and messaging technologies.
Job Requirements:
8–12 years of overall IT experience, including at least 5 years of proven experience in technical delivery management.
Experience managing end-to-end technology delivery engagements, including planning, execution, governance, risk management, and stakeholder communications.
Preferred experience in banking, financial services, digital banking, or large-scale program delivery environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Java 8, Java 11, Java 17, and Java 21.
Deep understanding of Core Java fundamentals, including multithreading and concurrency, JVM performance tuning, Collections Framework, object-oriented programming (OOP), and design patterns.
Extensive experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.
Strong expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful API design and development, and event-driven architecture.
Database experience with Oracle and MySQL.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, code reviews, technical leadership, ownership, and release and deployment governance.
Good to have: PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe, or other Agile certifications; experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Geneos; familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
