As an Analyst, you will conduct in-depth investment research, develop and evaluate investment ideas, and support the firm’s broader investment and engagement strategies. You will build detailed financial models, perform valuation analyses, assess company performance, and translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.
The role will also involve engaging with company management and leading investor relations interviews to deepen your understanding of businesses and their strategic direction. You will work closely with experienced investment professionals and be expected to contribute proactively to rigorous research and investment discussions. This is a permanent position based in Tokyo, Japan, with a salary of up to USD 100,000.
At least three years of professional experience in investment banking, long/short equity, event-driven hedge funds, or a closely related field.
A strong track record in company valuation and fundamental investment research.
Demonstrated ability to generate original, well-supported investment ideas.
Advanced analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
Experience building and interpreting detailed financial models.
Ability to analyze financial statements, business performance, industry dynamics, and strategic developments.
Experience leading investor relations interviews and engaging directly with company management is highly valued.
Exceptional intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding businesses and markets.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis concisely.
