As an Interior Designer, you will contribute to the development of interior concepts and help transform design ideas into cohesive, functional spaces. You will participate in projects from early concept development through design refinement and implementation, ensuring that visual quality and practical requirements remain aligned.
Your responsibilities will include preparing design concepts, layouts, drawings, presentations, and material selections; researching products and finishes; and coordinating with internal and external project stakeholders. You will help maintain design consistency, respond to feedback, and support the successful delivery of projects.
This is a full-time, onsite position in Tokyo, offering the opportunity to work closely with a creative team and contribute directly to the design process.
Professional experience in interior design, spatial design, architectural design, or a related field.
A portfolio demonstrating strong design thinking, visual communication, space planning, and attention to detail.
Ability to develop interior concepts that balance aesthetics, functionality, usability, and project requirements.
Proficiency with relevant design and presentation software, including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or comparable tools.
Experience preparing drawings, layouts, mood boards, material palettes, presentations, and other design documentation.
Strong understanding of materials, finishes, furnishings, color, lighting, and interior detailing.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality work.
Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with colleagues, clients, consultants, suppliers, and contractors.
A proactive, organized, and solutions-oriented approach to design challenges.
Willingness to work onsite in Tokyo on a full-time basis.
Professional fluency in English and/or Japanese, with the ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative design environment.
