Our client is a global family-owned food company with an international presence and a lean, collaborative operation in Japan. The local team combines the resources and reach of a multinational organisation with the agility, ownership and personal impact of a small business.
The culture is built around trust, collaboration, curiosity, flexibility and respect for people. Employees are encouraged to work closely with senior stakeholders, challenge established ways of working and take ownership of meaningful initiatives. Flexible working hours and a supportive environment promote a healthy work–life balance, while an entrepreneurial mindset ensures that colleagues remain hands-on and engaged.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business where your contribution will be visible, your ideas will be valued and your financial expertise will directly influence commercial performance across Japan and South Korea.
As Finance and FP&A Manager for Japan and South Korea, you will act as the financial steward for the cluster and a trusted business partner to the Head of Japan and regional finance leadership. Based in Tokyo in a hybrid role, you will take ownership of the full Japan P&L, from top line through to bottom line.
Your responsibilities will include monthly reporting, forecasting, three-year strategic planning, commercial controlling and performance analysis. You will oversee and challenge the outputs of an outsourced accounting provider while retaining accountability for accounting, tax and statutory obligations.
This is a highly hands-on position in a small local organisation, where you will help systemise Excel-based processes, develop effective reporting workflows and work with business intelligence and enterprise performance management systems. You will also lead cost-efficiency initiatives across route to market, logistics, repacking and third-party logistics.
