The Visual Merchandising Assistant Manager will lead VM execution across multiple brands in Japan, ensuring that global and regional strategies are translated into effective local implementations. This role is responsible for supporting store openings, renovations, seasonal updates, and product launches while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
You will manage VM-related projects end to end, including timelines, deliverables, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors. The role also involves collaborating with Marketing, Brand, Commercial, Store Design, and regional teams to align execution with business objectives, as well as developing VM proposals that strengthen product visibility and brand storytelling. In addition, you will help assess market trends, store environments, and consumer behavior to improve VM effectiveness.
7+ years of visual merchandising experience in a retail environment
Strong design sense and aesthetic judgment
Proven project management skills across multiple initiatives
Organized, detail-oriented, and structured working style
Solid understanding of marketing and brand strategy
Fluent/native Japanese and business-level English
