As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting fitness equipment at customer sites throughout the Tokyo area. You will diagnose technical issues, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, replace or repair components, and help ensure that equipment operates safely and reliably.
The role will involve regular communication with customers, explaining technical findings and recommended solutions in a clear and professional manner. You will also document service activities, manage assigned cases, and collaborate with internal teams when issues require additional technical or operational support.
This is an on-site, permanent position suited to someone who enjoys practical problem-solving, working independently, and representing a premium international brand in front of customers. The position offers broad exposure to mechanical, electrical, electronic, and IT-related systems.
Technical education or professional training, including a technical or industrial high school background.
Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, or servicing equipment.
Background in equipment manufacturing, field service, or equipment maintenance.
Experience with office automation equipment, photocopiers, electronics, automotive systems, electrical equipment, or electronic manufacturing.
Familiarity with electronic devices, personal computers, IT terminals, mechanical equipment, UPS systems, or 200V power equipment.
Ability to diagnose faults logically and perform hands-on repairs safely and accurately.
Strong customer-service skills and the ability to explain technical matters clearly.
Experience in a Japanese corporate environment is advantageous.
English proficiency is preferred; a TOEIC score of approximately 500 is a useful benchmark.
IT Passport certification is a plus.
