About the opportunity
We’re partnering with a Global Tier 1 Engineering Consultancy to appoint a Senior PMO Manager for a high-profile operational readiness programme in the energy and utilities sector.
This is a permanent role on a long-term project running. You will be the central interface between the client, its stakeholders and the consultancy’s delivery team, making sure schedules, activities and milestones stay aligned across all parties.
This role suits a strong, hands-on Senior Project Manager with real PMO experience who enjoys coordination and stakeholder management. It is not a Director-level position. You’ll be supported by an experienced Project Director and a dedicated team including a Project Manager, Scheduler and Risk Analyst.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate client and stakeholder interfaces to drive operational readiness
Align stakeholder schedules, delivery activities and key milestones
Keep coordination running across the parties involved in delivering the programme
Report progress and delivery alignment to the project management and project controls teams
Work closely with the wider delivery team to keep the programme on track against critical deadlines
What we’re looking for
Strong PMO experience, operating at Senior Project Manager level
A proven track record of coordinating multiple stakeholders, schedules and priorities on complex projects
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A practical, hands-on approach to managing project interfaces
A background in construction, infrastructure, energy or utilities
Willingness to be based in remote area.
Highly advantageous
Energy, power or utilities sector experience
A consultancy or PMC background
Exposure to operational readiness or regulatory and licensing-driven programmes
