Location: Belgium or Luxembourg (hybrid – 3 days on-site / 2 days home office) · Level: Manager · Function: Market Access / HEOR
A growing, international medical device company with a strong European footprint and an ambitious product pipeline. As part of scaling its commercial capability, the business is building out a dedicated Market Access function — this is a newly created role with real ownership from day one.
This is a hands-on, build-it role rather than an oversight-only position. You will define European market access and reimbursement strategy and execute it yourself, in a lean and fast-moving environment where autonomy, initiative and pragmatism matter more than large structures or ready-made playbooks. A European product launch is on the near-term horizon, making reimbursement readiness a clear early priority.
Design and deliver the European market access, pricing and reimbursement strategy across the portfolio
Build compelling value narratives and value dossiers translating clinical and economic evidence into payer-relevant arguments
Lead HEOR activities: economic modelling, real-world evidence, outcomes research and value demonstration
Prepare and drive reimbursement for an upcoming European product launch (dossiers, submissions, payer positioning)
Support affiliates and commercial teams in local payer, HTA and reimbursement discussions
Partner cross-functionally with Regulatory, Clinical, Quality and Commercial to keep evidence, claims and access aligned
Line-manage and develop one Market Access Specialist, building the function's capability over time
Monitor European payer and reimbursement landscapes and turn shifts into proactive strategy
7–10 years in Market Access, HEOR or Reimbursement within medical devices (adjacent healthcare sectors considered)
Genuine multi-country European experience (at least 2–3 markets; Germany, Belgium or the UK a strong plus)
A consulting background is welcome — breadth across markets, systems and reimbursement pathways is highly valued
Equally comfortable with strategy and execution; thrives in a small, agile organisation and enjoys shaping a role
Strong grasp of medical device reimbursement structures and European payer environments
People-management or mentoring exposure an asset
Fluent English; German, French and/or Dutch a strong advantage
EU work authorisation required (no relocation or work-permit sponsorship offered)
Hybrid working: 3 days on-site at the Belgian or Luxembourg office / 2 days home office
Company car + fuel card + full travel coverage
Travel up to ~30% (authorities, congresses, KOL and payer engagements)
An innovative, international environment with real ownership and room to shape the function
