As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will help design, build, deploy, and improve ML systems that support financial services. This is a tech-lead-level role focused on turning machine learning into reliable product value, not just prototypes or research. You will work closely with engineers, data scientists, and business teams from early requirement definition and Jupyter-based prototyping through development, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing refinement.
You will define both software requirements and ML-specific quality standards, then help guide the team’s development approach. A key part of the role is improving engineering practices such as code reviews, testing, and team development standards, while also helping raise the maturity of MLOps across the organization. The work requires attention to trustworthiness, explainability, stability, security, and operational quality in mission-critical financial systems.
Python product development experience, including package management, testing, and linters
Experience with major data processing and machine learning libraries
MLOps experience, including ML pipeline architecture and workflow engines
Cloud-based development experience
Strong Japanese communication skills
Experience leading cross-functional or technical teams
