Our client is an international food manufacturer with long-standing production operations in Vietnam, serving export markets.
Role & Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the plant's quality and food safety management system, keeping it aligned with GFSI-recognised standards and the product certifications required by customers.
Act as the site lead for all audits (internal, certification body, customer and authority) and make sure procedures and quality records are always up to date.
Ensure products and processes meet company standards, customer specifications and applicable food regulations.
Support new product introduction through testing, validation and quality checks.
Handle quality incidents, deviations and customer complaints end to end: identify the root cause, put corrective and preventive actions in place, and follow up on their effectiveness.
Track quality performance through data and KPIs, and turn the findings into process improvements on the shop floor.
Manage and develop the QA/QC team: set objectives, coach, give feedback and build a strong quality mindset across the plant.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to advise on quality and compliance risks and support sound business decisions.
Other tasks assigned by the line manager.
Requirements:
University degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or a related discipline.
At least 7 years of experience in quality assurance or food safety within food manufacturing, including people management; high-performing Assistant Managers ready for the next step will also be considered.
Background in multinational food or FMCG companies is preferred.
Good working knowledge of food safety systems and standards such as HACCP, GMP and BRCGS or FSSC 22000.
Proven experience leading internal audits and hosting customer and certification audits.
Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Good computer skills (MS Office).
Fluent in English.
Work location: Dong Nai, with company shuttle bus from Ho Chi Minh City.
