Role overview:
The Senior Back-End Developer will design and develop high-performance, low-latency backend services supporting trade execution, analytics, and market data processing. The role focuses on scalable microservices, real-time data processing, system performance, and reliable integration across cloud and frontend engineering teams.
Key responsibilities:
Core Service Development Build high-performance, low-latency backend services for trade execution, analytics, and market data processing.
API & Architecture Design Design and maintain scalable microservices and high-throughput APIs.
Data Processing Engineer systems for real-time data ingestion, processing, and distribution across large-scale datasets.
System Optimization Optimize distributed cloud-native services to improve latency, throughput, and availability.
Cross-Team Collaboration Work with cloud and frontend engineering teams to deliver seamless integration supported by robust logging and observability.
Demonstrated experience building high-performance backend systems or distributed architectures.
Strong proficiency in Rust and Python, with hands-on Rust experience required; experience with lower-level or concurrent languages and the ability to rapidly learn Rust may also be considered.
Deep understanding of REST, gRPC, and WebSockets, with hands-on experience in event-driven or streaming architectures.
Strong knowledge of Linux systems, performance tuning, cloud infrastructure, and containerization.
Strong experience with Rust concurrency, memory safety, and low-latency system design.
Familiarity with real-time data pipelines and database technologies such as PostgreSQL, time-series databases, or NoSQL databases.
Experience in capital markets technology, fintech platforms, or financial trading systems is relevant to the role.
