As a SLAM & Navigation Engineer, you will own key elements of localization, mapping, and navigation within the company’s robotics operating system. You will develop and deploy robust SLAM, visual-inertial odometry, and LiDAR-inertial odometry solutions using real sensor data on physical platforms.
Your responsibilities will include designing estimation and optimization pipelines, processing point clouds, calibrating multi-sensor systems, and integrating solutions with ROS or ROS 2 on Linux. You will investigate and resolve odometry and navigation issues in real-world environments, including dense pedestrian settings. You will also optimize algorithms for Jetson-class edge platforms, validate performance in simulation and on robots, and define navigation acceptance tests. This role offers substantial ownership from research through production deployment.
