As Customer Marketing Manager, you will develop and execute customer-focused marketing plans that support commercial growth across the Japanese market. Based in Tokyo, you will work closely with sales, brand marketing and external partners to translate brand strategies into compelling customer initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include planning customer activation programmes, developing sales and marketing materials, supporting promotional activity and evaluating campaign performance. You will use customer and market insight to identify opportunities, improve execution and strengthen relationships with key retail and trade partners.
This role combines strategic planning with hands-on delivery. It offers the opportunity to influence how premium wine brands are presented and activated in the market, while contributing directly to commercial performance and long-term customer engagement.
Experience in customer marketing, trade marketing, shopper marketing or a related commercial marketing role.
A strong understanding of customer activation, promotional planning and the consumer goods, retail, hospitality or beverage sector.
The ability to convert brand and market strategies into practical, commercially focused customer plans.
Experience managing projects and campaigns from planning through to execution and evaluation.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with sales, brand teams, agencies and external customers.
Commercial awareness and confidence using customer, market and campaign insights to guide decisions.
Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong written and spoken English; professional fluency in Japanese is required for the Tokyo-based market.
