Our client, a well-established investment management firm in Vietnam, focuses on identifying, executing, and managing investment opportunities, with particular exposure to the real estate sector.
Role overview:
The Investment Manager / Investment Director will be responsible for originating, evaluating, executing, and managing investment opportunities, particularly within the real estate sector. The role requires hands-on transaction execution, investment decision-making, and portfolio management to optimize investment returns.
Key responsibilities:
Investment Origination: Identify and source attractive investment opportunities through industry networks, developers, business owners, and financial intermediaries.
Investment Evaluation: Lead financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and feasibility assessments. Develop investment theses and present recommendations to senior management and Investment Committees.
Deal Execution: Drive investment transactions from initial evaluation through deal structuring, negotiation, legal documentation, signing, and closing.
Portfolio Management: Monitor investment performance, identify value creation opportunities, and support capital allocation and divestment strategies to optimize returns.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with investment partners, developers, financial institutions, and external advisors to facilitate investment activities.
Investment Leadership: Contribute to investment strategy and lead or mentor junior investment professionals, where applicable.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Investment, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related discipline. CFA, MBA, or equivalent qualifications are beneficial.
Proven investment experience in Private Equity, Listed Equity, Real Estate Investment, M&A, Investment Banking, or Corporate Investment, with demonstrated transaction execution and/or portfolio management achievements.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, investment analysis, due diligence, transaction structuring, and risk assessment capabilities.
Hands-on experience in deal sourcing, negotiation, transaction execution through closing, or investment portfolio management with measurable results.
Strong exposure to real estate investments, including equity investments, M&A, joint ventures, or project acquisitions.
Excellent commercial judgment, analytical thinking, negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
For Director-level candidates, demonstrated investment leadership, transaction ownership, and strategic investment decision-making capabilities.
Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Vietnamese to engage with investment partners, stakeholders, and Investment Committees.
