The Finance Controller will safeguard the integrity of financial reporting and controls for the Japan business, covering P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role partners closely with regional and global finance functions, including Tax, Treasury, IFRS, and GBS/BPO, to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant reporting.
Key responsibilities include leading month-end and year-end closing, supporting external and internal audits, overseeing tax compliance, and managing cash flow forecasting in collaboration with Group Treasury. The role also drives implementation of global finance systems such as SAP and Coupa, and acts as the main contact for GBS/BPO. In addition, the Finance Controller builds strong relationships across commercial, sales, and marketing teams to support business decisions with sound financial analysis and [suggestion: business partnering].
8-10 years of finance experience, ideally across regional/global accounting, tax, and treasury teams
FMCG background; liquor industry experience preferred
Degree in Finance/Accounting/Tax or CPA qualification
Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills
Strong analytical, reporting, communication, planning, and decision-making skills
