Job Overview
This is a Europe Payroll Manager role within the global Shared Service Center team. The incumbent will own end-to-end payroll operations, compliance, and process optimization for multiple European countries. You will lead a small payroll team, ensure accurate and on-time monthly payroll delivery, and align local payroll practices with group global policies and local statutory regulations. This role requires solid hands-on multi-country European payroll experience and bilingual capability to support both global and Chinese headquarters communication & document review.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle payroll operations for multiple European countries (UK, France, Netherlands, Germany and other EU countries), including payroll calculation, reconciliation, payroll posting, and month-end closing.
Lead and mentor 1 payroll team member, arrange daily workload, monitor payroll quality, and drive continuous process improvement.
Ensure full compliance with local European labor law, tax law, social insurance and payroll statutory requirements, keep updated with local policy changes.
Responsible for payroll audit preparation, internal/external audit support, and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner.
Collaborate with HR, finance, tax, legal and global SSC teams to standardize European payroll processes, optimize SSC payroll delivery model, and improve overall payroll efficiency.
Review and understand Chinese internal documents, communicate effectively with China headquarters teams on payroll policy alignment, data submission and project coordination.
Support global payroll system upgrade, configuration testing, and cross-country payroll transformation projects as required.
Job Requirements
Hands-on multi-country European payroll experience: solid practical payroll operation experience covering Germany, UK, France, Netherlands or other mainstream EU countries; familiar with local tax, social security and payroll compliance rules.
Bilingual capability: fluent in English & Mandarin (spoken & written); able to fully understand and review Chinese official documents and communicate with China internal teams smoothly.
Familiar with international SSC payroll working model, experienced in cross-country and cross-timezone collaboration.
Strong sense of responsibility, rigorous working attitude, able to manage multi-country payroll tasks under tight deadlines.
