We are looking for a Compliance manager who responsible for implementing and monitoring the compliance requirements established by the Company’s investor and ensuring their consistent application across the Company.
The position supports Management and collaborates with investors, auditors, and professional advisers to promote effective compliance and financial management, business sustainability, and investment returns.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance Governance
• Implement and monitor the compliance requirements, control guidelines, and reporting obligations established by the investor.
• Maintain a register of applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, investor, and internal compliance obligations.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws, regulations, and investor requirements and assess their impact on the Company.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure that compliance requirements are properly communicated and implemented.
• Conduct periodic compliance reviews and identify gaps against applicable requirements and internal policies.
• Maintain records of compliance incidents, policy exceptions, audit findings, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate compliance training and communications where required.
Risk Management
• Coordinate the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of key financial, operational, regulatory, compliance, and strategic risks.
• Maintain the Company’s risk register and follow up with responsible departments on agreed risk-mitigation actions.
• Monitor risk incidents and control weaknesses and ensure that corrective actions are implemented on time.
Policies and Procedures
• Coordinate the development, review, approval, communication, and implementation of corporate policies and procedures.
• Support departments in translating investor, regulatory, and internal requirements into practical procedures and controls.
• Periodically review policies and procedures to ensure they remain appropriate for the Company’s operations and risk profile.
Audit Coordination
• Coordinate internal audits, investor compliance reviews, statutory audits, tax reviews, and other assurance activities.
• Act as the primary coordinator with investors, auditors, banks, regulators, and professional advisers.
• Ensure that requested information is accurate, complete, consistent, and submitted on time.
• Monitor audit and compliance findings and follow up with relevant departments to ensure timely completion of corrective actions.
Finance Operations
• Manage and periodically review the Group’s investment, ownership, and funding structures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and alignment with the Group’s business objectives.
• Coordinate with the Accounting Manager to continuously improve the day-to-day operations of the Finance department.
• Enhance finance operations to ensure that accounting transactions are recorded accurately, completely, and on time in accordance with applicable accounting standards and Company policies.
• Continuously improve finance processes, reporting, systems, and internal controls.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
• A professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CFA, CIA, or equivalent is an advantage.
• At least five years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, compliance, internal audit, risk management, corporate governance, or internal control.
• Experience in developing, reviewing, and implementing corporate policies and procedures.
• Supervisory or managerial experience is preferred.
• Experience working under US-based governance and compliance standards is preferred.
• Experience in real estate, property operations, construction, infrastructure, energy, or another asset-intensive or project-based business is preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly Yardi, is an advantage.
• Experience coordinating internal audits, statutory financial audits, investor compliance reviews, ISO audits, or similar assurance activities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple legal entities, projects, reporting requirements, and deadlines.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
