The HR Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, acting as a single point of contact for a business unit. This role provides guidance on both strategic and day-to-day HR topics, including employee relations, performance management, talent development, and labor law. It also helps identify risks, improve processes, and support business leaders in making informed people decisions.
Working closely with site and business leadership, you will help shape organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent strategies that align with business needs. You will coach leaders, support change communication, and influence initiatives that strengthen performance, engagement, and retention. The role also contributes to recruitment for business sectors and site management, while helping align local HR practices with broader organizational standards.
10+ years of experience in HR, employee relations, or a related field
Fluent Japanese and business-level English, written and spoken
Strong communication, relationship-building, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Experience in employee relations, performance management, talent management, labor law, and HR metrics
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Human Relations, or a related field equivalent experience may be considered
