As a Freight Forwarding Specialist, you will support the Forwarding Team across ocean, air, and land transport operations. This role is responsible for managing shipments from quotation through invoicing, ensuring each step is handled accurately, efficiently, and within required deadlines.
You will arrange bookings with airlines and shipping lines, communicate with carriers and NVOCCs, and coordinate with overseas customers by email in English. You will also handle cost inquiries, prepare and submit quotations, issue invoices after shipment completion, and manage operational tasks in CargoWise. The role requires strong ownership, the ability to work under pressure, and consistent communication with both vendor partners and clients. Each shipment is assigned to an individual trade operator, so attention to detail and independent execution are essential.
Bachelor’s degree
Business-level Japanese and English, written and spoken
Freight forwarding experience in ocean and/or air
Strong teamwork and independent problem-solving skills
Open-minded, eager to learn, and able to work well under pressure
Monthly incentive plan based on individual performance
