Our client is seeking an experienced Performance Testing Lead to drive performance engineering and non-functional testing initiatives across a portfolio of business-critical applications and digital platforms.
This role will be responsible for ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and ready to support business growth by proactively identifying performance risks, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints before production deployment. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and delivery teams to improve application performance and enhance overall user experience.
Own and lead performance testing activities across multiple applications, platforms, APIs, and enterprise systems.
Design, execute, and manage various performance testing scenarios, including load, stress, endurance, scalability, and capacity testing.
Develop realistic workload models and test scenarios based on business usage patterns and growth forecasts.
Establish performance baselines, benchmarks, and acceptance criteria to support release readiness decisions.
Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks, performance risks, and optimization opportunities.
Design and maintain reusable performance testing frameworks and automated testing assets.
Drive improvements in test execution efficiency, reliability, and repeatability.
Promote the integration of performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
Contribute to the development of performance engineering standards, methodologies, and best practices across the organization.
Work closely with developers, architects, and infrastructure teams to diagnose and resolve performance issues.
Support root cause analysis and provide data-driven recommendations to improve system responsiveness, stability, and throughput.
Assist teams in identifying opportunities to optimize application performance and resource utilization.
Support performance readiness assessments for major releases, upgrades, and technology transformations.
Communicate performance risks, findings, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Produce performance reports, dashboards, and release readiness assessments for project and business teams.
Provide expert guidance on performance testing approaches, tools, and quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed performance considerations throughout the software development lifecycle.
Strong experience in Performance Testing, Performance Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Software Testing.
Proven track record delivering performance testing initiatives within enterprise-scale technology environments.
Experience designing and executing load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests for web, mobile, API, and distributed applications.
Strong understanding of system performance concepts, including response times, throughput, concurrency, scalability, and capacity planning.
Experience identifying and resolving application, infrastructure, or database performance bottlenecks.
Ability to interpret performance data and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
Experience implementing automated performance testing frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD environments.
Familiarity with industry-standard performance testing and monitoring tools.
Experience establishing performance baselines, KPIs, SLAs, SLOs, and performance governance standards.
Exposure to cloud-based architectures, microservices, distributed systems, or large-scale enterprise platforms.
Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to influence technical teams through data-driven insights and recommendations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
