Our client, a manufacturing company, operates in precision engineering and serves a range of industrial sectors, including aerospace, commercial, defense, and medical applications.
Role overview:
The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee the company's quality management system and ensure that products and processes meet customer, internal, and regulatory requirements. The role will also drive quality improvement across production, suppliers, customers, and the QA/QC team.
Key responsibilities:
Quality System: Manage and improve the Quality Management System in accordance with relevant ISO and industry standards. Ensure compliance with customer requirements and applicable regulations.
Quality Control: Oversee quality control from incoming materials through production, packaging, and finished products. Work with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
Audits & Corrective Actions: Coordinate internal, customer, and third-party audits. Follow up on corrective, preventive, and improvement actions resulting from audit findings.
Supplier & Customer Quality: Monitor supplier quality and work with Procurement and Engineering on incoming material quality. Handle customer quality issues, complaints, 8D reports, and corrective actions.
Quality Improvement: Analyze quality data and key indicators such as defects, scrap, rework, and customer claims. Identify root causes and implement CAPA and other improvement actions.
Team Management: Plan and manage the QA/QC team, including training and performance evaluation. Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Quality Management, Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Professional years of experience in quality management, experience in precision manufacturing is preferred.
Good knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, and quality tools including SPC, FMEA, 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone.
Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coaching skills.
Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, integrity, decisiveness, and continuous improvement mindset.
Good English communication and writing skills.
Proficient in MS Office.
Knowledge of quality analysis software.
