As Production Manager, you will lead manufacturing operations at the company’s Japan site, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable production for domestic and global customers. You will develop and execute monthly and weekly production plans, allocate labor, materials, and equipment, and address capacity constraints to maintain on-time delivery.
The role will drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across stamping, molding, assembly, and automated inspection processes. You will improve first-pass yield, reduce scrap and lead times, and lead root-cause investigations using structured problem-solving methods. You will also ensure compliance with applicable quality and environmental, health, and safety standards.
In addition, you will manage departmental costs, lead cost-reduction initiatives, develop supervisors and production employees, and collaborate with engineering and global stakeholders on automation, new product introductions, production transfers, and performance reporting.
