Job Description
Role overview:
The National Key Account Manager – Modern Trade will own the growth of the company’s key accounts in the Modern Trade channel. The role builds strong partnerships with major retailers and leads the team to deliver excellent in-store execution. It offers strong potential for future channel leadership.
Key responsibilities:
Business Ownership: Deliver sales revenue, profitability and KPIs for the assigned national Modern Trade accounts.
Account Planning: Develop and execute joint business plans covering forecasting, trading terms, promotion budgets, visibility and key in-store events.
Customer Partnership: Build strong relationships with buyers and category managers at headquarters and store levels.
Performance Management: Monitor account performance, identify gaps and propose actionable improvement plans.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Marketing, Trade Marketing and Supply Chain to ensure smooth program execution.
Market Intelligence: Conduct regular store visits to track competitor activities and make sure plans are executed in stores.
Team Leadership: Lead, coach and develop the key account and sales supervisor team.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
At least 10 years of experience in Key Account Management or Modern Trade sales, including team leadership.
Proven track record working directly with major Modern Trade retailers in Vietnam.
Strong negotiation skills, with experience in trading terms, promotion and visibility investments.
FMCG food experience is a strong advantage.
Good English communication skills.
Based in Ho Chi Minh City.
