Our client is a global life-sciences and technology organisation specialising in advanced filtration, separation and purification solutions. Its products help customers address critical challenges across health, safety, environmental protection and high-technology manufacturing.
With a strong heritage in science and engineering, the organisation combines technical expertise with a collaborative, customer-focused culture. Employees are encouraged to challenge conventional thinking, pursue innovative solutions and work closely with colleagues and customers around the world. This is an attractive opportunity for a scientist who wants to contribute to technologies that support demanding applications, while developing their expertise within an international and purpose-driven environment.
The role is based at a modern, fully onsite laboratory in Ibaraki, Japan, and offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced specialists in a technically advanced setting.
As a Lab Scientist, you will provide analytical support for the development and evaluation of advanced microfiltration products serving the semiconductor industry. Reporting to the Lab Manager, you will test prototype filters and assembly components against established protocols and generate reliable analytical data to support product development and quality decisions.
A key part of the role will involve analysing organic extractables and other materials using techniques including GC-MS, LC-MS or LC-MS/MS, and ICP-MS. You will also contribute to the installation and development of new analytical technologies, introduce improved methods and enhance existing test procedures.
This is a hands-on laboratory position requiring scientific rigour, attention to detail and a proactive approach to new assignments. You will work as part of a collaborative team, contributing to continuous improvement and helping deliver robust analytical solutions for technically demanding customer applications.
