Our client, a technology company operating in the digital advertising sector, develops backend systems supporting high-volume and real-time workloads. The organization works with distributed international teams to build scalable, high-performance software solutions.
Role overview:
The Technical Lead will lead the technical design, development, and evolution of backend systems using Golang. The role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, architecture decisions, engineering standards, and mentorship while collaborating with product and engineering stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
Technical Architecture Lead backend architecture and system design, defining engineering standards and technical best practices.
Backend Development Design, develop, and optimize scalable, distributed, and high-performance systems using Golang.
Technical Leadership Drive architecture decisions, technology selection, technical estimations, and technical initiatives from requirements through production.
Engineering Quality Conduct coding, code reviews, debugging, performance optimization, testing, and continuous engineering improvements.
Team Guidance Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers while supporting effective collaboration across distributed teams.
System Reliability Identify technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and scalability challenges and implement appropriate solutions across CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure.
7+ years of professional experience in Backend Software Engineering, including 3+ years of hands-on Golang experience in production and experience in a Tech Lead, Lead Engineer, or equivalent technical leadership role.
Strong knowledge of software architecture, system design, distributed systems, microservices, RESTful APIs, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
Experience with caching, message brokers, event-driven architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, logging, and observability.
Strong understanding of concurrency, scalability, performance optimization, fault tolerance, clean code, automated testing, and code review practices.
Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, make architecture-level decisions, mentor engineers, and communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Good English communication skills and experience working with international teams.
Professional experience in AdTech/Digital Advertising is highly preferred, with experience in Programmatic Advertising, Real-Time Bidding (RTB), or Ad Exchange as an additional area of expertise.
