As Finance Manager, Japan, you will oversee local finance activities and act as the key finance contact in Japan. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager in Singapore, you will supervise an outsourced accounting provider and ensure that processes are accurate, timely, and compliant with Japanese accounting requirements.
You will review accounting outputs, statutory and tax filings, and banking-related matters; identify and escalate issues; and provide guidance to external partners. A major part of the role will involve establishing, documenting, and improving finance processes as the organization transitions to a new operating model.
This is an independent, hands-on position suited to someone who can bring structure to an evolving environment. The role is primarily focused on local governance and accounting oversight rather than budgeting and forecasting, which are managed centrally. The position is based in Roppongi, Tokyo, with a hybrid working model requiring at least three days in the office.
