As an AI / Data Engineer, you will join the engineering team developing an AI camera solution for pig farming. The role is centred on designing and implementing image analysis, machine learning and deep learning capabilities that can process on-site data and support advanced product functionality.
You will work across model development and deployment, from exploratory data analysis and preprocessing through to optimisation and production operation. Core responsibilities include object detection, segmentation and feature extraction, as well as statistical analysis and model building using Python and SQL. You will also contribute by proposing AI solutions to business challenges, collaborating closely with colleagues and providing technical leadership to help drive projects forward.
Experience in machine learning and deep learning theory and implementation
Practical Python experience in data analysis and model building
Strong image processing skills with tools such as OpenCV, TensorFlow or PyTorch
Good foundation in statistics, data modelling and SQL
