The Manager / Senior Manager, Management Section will oversee the back-office functions that support sales and delivery operations in Japan. Reporting to the Country Head, Japan, this role will be responsible for legal, contract, and accounting-related administration, while also helping to build stronger operating frameworks and standardized processes.
In this position, you will review and negotiate contracts, improve contract management practices, and help manage legal risk and internal regulations. You will also oversee accounts receivable/payable, monthly and year-end closing activities, and audit responses. In addition, you will work to streamline business processes, support compliance and governance initiatives, and coordinate reporting with global and regional teams. This is a key leadership role for someone who combines hands-on expertise with a strong process-building mindset.
Management experience in administrative functions within engineering services, tech, SI, or consulting
Hands-on leadership in legal or contract management
Experience overseeing accounting operations, including AR/AP and monthly closing
Proven ability in business process design, standardization, and improvement
Strong communication and documentation skills
Native-level Japanese and business-level English
Knowledge of compliance/governance frameworks, IFRS/USGAAP, or Power BI is a plus
