ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Packaging Technology Specialist to develop and improve packaging solutions, reduce cost and waste, and ensure packaging works well with production lines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and improve packaging for automotive products.
Select suitable packaging materials such as plastic, paper, metal, and recycled materials.
Test packaging performance, including drop, compression, sealing, and heat resistance.
Ensure packaging works well with automated production lines.
Work with suppliers on packaging quality, printing, cost, and delivery.
Lead packaging projects from development to mass production.
Identify and solve packaging-related quality and production issues.
Drive improvements to reduce cost, waste, and defects.
Work closely with Production, QA/QC, R&D, Procurement, and other teams.
Prepare and maintain packaging specifications, drawings, standards, and SOPs.
Ensure packaging and labeling meet local and export-market requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
1.Experience
Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Materials Engineering, Polymer, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in packaging development or packaging engineering.
Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or FMCG is preferred.
2.Technical Skills
Good knowledge of packaging materials and packaging structures.
Experience with automated production or packaging lines.
Knowledge of packaging testing and quality standards.
Understanding of printing technologies such as Offset, Flexo, or Gravure is a plus.
Knowledge of sustainable or eco-friendly packaging is a plus.
3.Skills
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and teamwork.
Able to work with suppliers and different internal teams.
Proactive and hands-on working style.
4.Language
Good English communication and technical reading skills.
