Cornerstone is seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to join a client-facing transformation programme for a leading Japanese beverage company.
The client is undertaking a major Master Data Management (MDM) initiative to support the rollout of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and other strategic business systems across multiple sales channels. This programme is a key component of the organisation's broader commercial and technology transformation.
You will be employed by Cornerstone on a fixed-term employment contract and assigned to a project delivered by Cornerstone for the client. Working alongside both Cornerstone and client stakeholders, you will play a critical role in bridging business needs and technology delivery within a complex enterprise environment.
The role is based in Shibuya, Tokyo, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement.
As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will help translate complex business requirements into practical system, data and process solutions.
Working within a Master Data Management programme, you will engage closely with commercial teams, operational stakeholders, business users and technical teams to understand current processes, identify gaps, document requirements and support successful system delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Gathering, analysing and documenting business, process and data requirements.
Facilitating communication between business stakeholders, data engineers, project leaders and technical teams.
Mapping business processes, data flows and operational workflows.
Supporting backlog management, sprint planning and Agile delivery activities.
Identifying risks, dependencies and process improvement opportunities.
Investigating undocumented business processes, ownership structures and data issues.
Supporting user validation, testing and implementation activities.
Helping stakeholders make informed decisions and move from ambiguity to clear outcomes.
Contributing to the successful rollout of MDM, CRM and data governance capabilities across multiple business channels.

Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or a related role.
Experience supporting enterprise technology, CRM, data or digital transformation programmes.
Strong ability to analyse business challenges and translate requirements into system, process and data specifications.
Experience collaborating with both business and technical teams, including data engineers, project managers and product owners.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Professional working proficiency in both Japanese and English.
Experience working within Agile and sprint-based delivery environments.
Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to identify undocumented processes, business rules and data ownership structures.
Excellent documentation skills, including requirements specifications, process maps and decision records.
AI-first mindset and willingness to leverage modern tools to improve productivity and delivery outcomes.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) programmes.
Experience supporting CRM implementations, particularly Microsoft Dynamics.
Familiarity with Data Governance frameworks and operating models.
Working knowledge of SQL, reporting platforms or data warehouse concepts.
Experience working in consulting, agency or client-services environments.
