Reporting to the Brand Protection Manager, this role leads anti-counterfeit activities in Japan within the Legal Department’s Brand Protection Team. You will initially work closely with the current ACF Manager to learn all aspects of anti-counterfeit operations and co-lead day-to-day initiatives, helping drive improvements in response to changing business, market, and regulatory conditions.
The role involves close coordination with customs, police, industry associations, online platform operators, global and regional teams, internal legal colleagues, and business teams. Key responsibilities include removing counterfeit products from online channels, supporting border enforcement and product authentication, delivering authentication training, contributing to awareness campaigns, and analyzing counterfeit trends for reporting. Over time, the role may also expand to broader intellectual property enforcement matters and support anti-diversion efforts.
Experience in the legal field, including in-house legal, paralegal, or law-related academic background
Business-level Japanese and English
Basic knowledge of and strong interest in intellectual property and brand protection
Ability to localize global anti-counterfeit strategies for Japan and East Asia
Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Flexibility in fast-changing environments and curiosity about new technology and data
Willingness to share expertise and support team development
