The Company:
Our client is a well-established foreign-owned company with a strong footprint across Asia and long-term operations in Vietnam.
Role & Responsibilities:
Identify and track major infrastructure, industrial, and building projects from the early engineering and design stages.
Build strong technical relationships with project owners, engineering companies, consultants, designers, specifiers, EPC contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
Engage Chinese-speaking project stakeholders to understand project requirements and identify potential technical opportunities.
Influence the inclusion of the company’s products and solutions in project designs, technical specifications, and tender documents.
Provide early-stage technical consultation on product applications, material specifications, and value-engineering solutions.
Support the preparation of technical submissions, pre-qualification documents, tender packages, and project presentations.
Act as a key communication bridge between Chinese project stakeholders and the company’s local commercial and technical teams.
Work closely with internal Sales and Technical teams to support project development and commercial conversion.
Develop and maintain an updated pipeline of strategic projects and stakeholder contacts.
Organize technical meetings, seminars, workshops, presentations, and site visits.
Monitor market developments, technical standards, construction methods, and upcoming project opportunities.
Prepare regular project updates, technical reports, and market intelligence for management.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Bridge and Road Engineering, Port Engineering, Construction Materials, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience; 10 years or above is preferred.
Strong background in engineering, construction, structural design, technical consulting, tendering, or EPC project management.
Relevant experience working with major Chinese EPC contractors, engineering companies, or Chinese-invested projects.
Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, ports, airports, metro systems, or industrial developments is preferred.
Strong understanding of project development, FEED design, technical specifications, tendering procedures, and stakeholder roles.
Sound knowledge of construction materials and their technical applications.
Fluent Mandarin Chinese is essential, together with good English communication skills. Vietnamese is an advantage.
Strong technical presentation, stakeholder-management, and cross-cultural communication skills.
Relevant design, supervision, or engineering certification is an advantage.
Willing to travel within Vietnam and visit project sites when required.
